π I read Andrew Thomsonβs bio of Thomas Boston. Boston was zealous in man-fishing, intimate with God, loving toward family and flock, persevering in learning, and patient in trials. Few have influenced my life and ministry as much as Boston, and Iβve still a lot to learn.
π² I canβt believe how easy it was for our dachshund to blast up and down this steep hill. He did the full trip about ten times in a row!
ππ Finished listening to another amazing Laura Ingalls Wilder book, On the Banks of Plum Creek.
π Finished reading Mastering Leadership by Bob Anderson and Bill Adams
πΊπΈπ Watched fireworks from the roof tonight with my kids and read some pieces in What So Proudly We Hail, a superb anthology on what it means to be American. Get yourself a copy! And happy 4th!
πͺπ» I met and passed my goal of 40 push-ups. It was easier than I thought it would be; the encouragement helped. Thanks!
βΊοΈ The first campground was full. The second had one old man camping in his van and a zillion frogs. Still, we pitched the tent, that is until @dellachelpkaart nearly stepped on a rattler. βLot of them out here,β the old man told us. Our final campsite was a La Quinta. So comfy!

ππ My family and I finished listening to The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder. What an amazing story.
πͺπ» A week ago, I could only do 26 pushups spread out over three sets. Today, I did 36. Iβm surprised how fast that happened! Iβm almost at my goal of 40.
π I updated my Now Page yesterday. And if you want the extended play version, subscribe to my (relaunched) newsletter. Itβs written and sent with love.
I suppose that when you create your own Indiepaper read-later feed on Micro.blog, you could share it with others. So it’s not locked. But is it discoverable? cc: @manton @cleverdevil
π΅ For your summer playlist: My friend, Austin Britton, singing and playing his heart out on his album A Light for the Next Hour. Get yourself a copy @austinbrittonmusic.com.
βͺοΈ One of my elders asked me to write another ready-to-use liturgy in case I get sick or some planned pulpit supply falls through. I did that and created a page to collect these.
